Work windows
Let model work run only at the hours you choose, and within a daily spending ceiling.
Steps
- An administrator opens Settings › Budgets and finds the “Work window and daily ceiling” card.
- Tick “Limit the hours work may run” and choose “From” and “To”, in the server’s time. A window that crosses midnight is the ordinary case: 01:00 to 07:00 means the night.
- If needed, set a “Spending ceiling per day (0: none)”. The card shows what has been spent today.
- Outside the window, or beyond the ceiling, a job waits without being cancelled and resumes on its own at the next allowed opening, if nothing else holds it back.
What to know
Waiting for the window or the daily ceiling is different from a manual, licence or book-budget pause, which always waits for someone to click “Resume”. The setting does not change provider prices, and the daily ceiling is counted from those prices. Results of a provider batch already paid for are still collected outside the window.
Fictional example
Allow a fictional demonstration job to run from 01:00 to 07:00 only, start it in the afternoon, and check in the queue that it waits for the night.
