For literary and webnovel translators

Start from a complete draft and a score for every passage; your corrections are never overwritten.

Libris Translate gives you a first draft of the whole book that already follows the client's glossary, and tells you which passages need you most. It does the first pass; the voice, the choices and the final text remain your work.

A real result: two Alice books translated end to end

The problem

A novel translated sentence by sentence by a machine gives a draft you have to check line by line: you cannot see where it held and where it slipped, names drift from one chapter to the next, and running the tool again can erase the corrections you already made.

What Libris Translate does for you

  • A score for every passage

Each passage gets a score from 0 to 100, with the reason for each doubt. Sort by score and spend your time where the draft is weakest.

    Guide: Quality and validation

  • Your corrections stay

The autopilot never rewrites a passage you corrected or validated. A correction you made several times becomes a suggestion for the rest of the book, applied only if you choose.

    Guide: Learn from your corrections

  • The client's terminology

Import a glossary and a style sheet. Locked terms are checked in every passage.

    Guide: Glossaries

  • Files that fit your workflow

A bilingual EPUB for proofreading, and a Word file that shows your corrections as tracked changes and the model's doubts as comments.

    Guide: Export the translated book

A typical project

  1. Import the client's EPUB or chapters, with their glossary if they have one.
  2. Let the autopilot write the first draft: analysis, translation, review.
  3. Open the lowest-scored passages first, correct them and validate them.
  4. Apply the corrections you repeated to the rest of the book, if you choose to.
  5. Deliver the EPUB, or the Word file with its tracked changes.

What it costs

Two separate costs. Libris Translate: 50 € once for the Personal plan, for non-commercial use, 29 € a month or 290 € a year for Studio, or a quote for Pro, after a free 30-day trial. The model, which you bring: a hosted API bills its provider's price per token, a model on your own hardware costs its electricity. Before each paid operation, Libris Translate shows the estimated cost, and a budget per book makes it switch to a cheaper provider, or pause, before going over. How the AI book translator works, from import to EPUB.

Paid work needs a commercial plan: Studio, 29 € a month or 290 € a year, gives 3 000 000 words a month and proofreading links for a client or a second reader. The Personal plan, 50 € once, is for non-commercial use.

What it does not do

  • Libris Translate writes a first draft for human review. It does not replace a translator: publish nothing that nobody has read.
  • You need the translation rights to the text: your own work, a contract with the rightsholder, or a work in the public domain.
  • Libris Translate runs on your own server, or one your IT provider runs for you. A hosted version is planned but not available yet.
  • Check that your contract allows machine-assisted translation: some forbid it, others ask you to say so.
