Publish to a watched library folder

Drop the finished EPUB where Calibre-Web, Komga or Kavita pick it up.

Steps

  1. An administrator mounts a folder into the worker, then under Settings › Library publication ticks “Enable library publication” and enters the “Destination folder in the worker”. “One subfolder per series (Komga, Kavita)” keeps each series apart.
  2. Tick “Automatically publish completed translations”, or publish by hand: on the book’s page, “Publish this book” then “Publish to the library”.
  3. Follow the state: “Publication pending”, “Book published” or “Publication failed”, with the number of attempts and the next one. A failure is retried on its own, and “Retry publication” forces it.
  4. Set your library server to read or import that folder. Libris Translate copies the file there; it does not upload anything to your library’s API.

What to know

Publishing costs no model call. A book that came from text chapters is built as an EPUB first. A failed publication never marks the translation as failed. The EPUB carries the series name and its position, so volumes arrive in order. OPDS serves to read a catalogue, not to upload a book. Check who can access the folder before turning on automatic publication.

Fictional example

Publish a finished fictional volume into a folder watched by Komga, then check in Komga that the series name and volume number are right.
