Compare providers
Translate the same passages with several models, side by side, without touching the book.
Steps
- Open the book’s Settings tab and find the “Compare providers” card. Tick at least two providers and choose the number of “Passages compared”, from 1 to 12.
- Click “Run the comparison”. It is queued and appears in the card once finished.
- Read the table: passages succeeded, score, seconds per passage, real cost, cost per 1,000 words and alerts. “See the translations side by side” shows the text itself.
- Click “Adopt for this book” on the provider you prefer.
What to know
The calls are real: they are billed by the providers and count against your licence quota on top of the book, which was counted when it was added. Nothing is written into the book. The score and the cost per 1,000 words help you judge, but a sample of a few passages says little about a whole book.
Fictional example
Compare two providers on one dialogue and one descriptive passage of a fictional novel, “Tide Lighthouse”, before choosing its provider.
